Description	BP International has initiated a Development Team for adding a new MI reporting on Supply Chain and Logistics. From Inbound logistics to outbound logistics is covered by this MI tool. Apart of launch Supply chain management in BIGS environment it is also combined with up gradation of technologies used in BIGS with changing of source system to SAP.

I returned from Hyderabad and assigned to project NIKE which was a supply chain management system application reporting environment. There was an old universe which was not working properly and the data they were using can be merged to the BIGS MDM data. My role was to identifying the similarities and merging the universe with the existing MDM universe which BIGS have. But before embedding the universe objects in BIGS universe they need to fix the NIKE universe and remove unnecessary objects and joins from it.

                

To start with this work I have to learn how supply chain management actually works. I took online training and get a good hold on Supply chain management. Then I got training on how supply chain management works for BP. Then I start working on the universe.

                There was several functionality I learned in universe designer which was not known to me at that time as I never worked in BOXIR2 designer. But as the basics were clear to me, understanding the tool was easy. First I cleared all broken objects and identify all broken joins and fixed the joins one-by-one. Once the basic cleaning on the universe is done I picked up existing reports and started understanding the functionality of the reports. While fixing the reports there was several enhancements I did in the universe.

                Reports and Universe went live with very few users as there was a plan to change the source system to SAP. I started working with them along with the migration team who already started planning for migration from BOXIR2 to BOXIR3.

                In between these things there was a major project was about to start and I got assigned to a small part of the big project which I later started at onsite.
